Review of Hotel Chastellares in Auron:
I had a very pleasant stay at Hotel Chastellares. My double room offered a beautiful mountain view and included a convenient wake-up service. the staff were friendly and attentive, creating a welcoming atmosphere. the location is fantastic, as it's right next to the gondola and the slopes. I also enjoyed some drinks at the wine bar Symposium, just a short 5-minute walk away. I would have loved to extend my time there!

Everything was perfect, amicable staff, pleasant views of the mountains. The hotel had a marvellous location next door to Barbican House. Plus it was in a pretty nice area. We appreciated magnificent restaurants on site.

The fact that everything was possible, The owner (and his wife and staff) made our stay very pleasent. The hotel is only 2 minutes away from the skilift. The ski area is very noive, good restaurants (Bergerie) on the piste.I will come again!

The owner was very helpful and friendly - nothing was too much trouble. The location is excellent, 70metres from the cable car, ski hire and lift office. Breakfast was more than adequate, french bread, croissants, cereal fruit juice, tea coffee and large selection of jams.
Except for the new TVs and bathrooms which have been updated, the rest of the hotel is very tired and dated. After speaking to the owner, he is renovating the whole building, but has some way to go. The dining room and bars were good with outstanding south facing views, but reception and the lounge area were poor. It is more like a hall of residence than a hotel, 2 star at best, but could easily become 3 star with some paint and new carpets!!!

I had a fantastic stay at this hotel, which has been recently remodeled, with a great staff, a wonderful room featuring a nice bathroom, and a very clean bed, and I would definitely come back again.

Friendliness of staff and dining room ambiance.
Room "frayed" at the edges, needs a revamp.

One of the best aspects of this hotel is its excellent location. Situated right in the heart of the town, it offers easy access to the lifts, ski hire, and an abundance of dining and drinking spots. Moreover, the hotel provides rooms with breathtaking mountain views, allowing guests to truly immerse themselves in the beauty of the surroundings. Additionally, the staff at this hotel are merry and helpful, making the stay even more enjoyable.
The hotel, however, could benefit from some minor improvements, such as enhancing the attention to detail in the rooms.

We had a great time in Chastellares. we arrived on the last day of the year with our family with 4 children. we had a great news years eve, with a lovely dinner. the cooking was all week very good also with very good wine (and advice). the hostellery and warmth of the staff was great. the rooms are clean but not very luxury which is not a problem for us but people have to be aware of this. the view from the Hotel to the mountains and piste is marvellous. also for young children the location in the middle of the village (with no or low traffic) is very ok due to the skating court in front of the Hotel. In general we had a fantastic week and we hoop to come back quickly!
